guest cancellation
Hi everyone
I am new to this so would appreciate your assistance. A guest has booked for New Year and may have to cancel due to travel restrictions which are the law here in Scotland. They stay in a different area to where the house is. I am unsure if they do cancel showed I :
1. Not charge at all? (heart says not to charge them)
2. Not sure if i can actually charge them?
3. If they cancel can i change it so as they are not charged?

This is a premium date, so i can imagine you might be thinking ,lets clear this booking so someone else can have it.
The first thing I would check/ask is , did they pre pay, to BdC at checkout or directly to you?
Why this matters is to confirm there is funds should they No Show, or cancel with short notice.
For cancellation I would charge 50% and tell BdC to refund 50%.
Did you actually setup a proper cancel policy? and what did you set?
How do I attach a new cancellation policy to a rate?
How can I immediately reopen rooms to resell them after certain cancellations?

1) In the extranet, go to the ‘Inbox’ tab.
2) Select ‘Booking.com messages’.
3) Click on ‘See Contact Options’.
