Joey - ain't that the theme of the month. Good/fast service depends on where you are. I'm quite impressed then, I can say what I will about South Africa but at least Booking.com provides us with excellent customer support.

Even calling c/s is a lottery.....I’ve called once a day at least to tell FRIDAYS guests to cancel and book elsewhere because the police are blocking the roads and they are bringing a car.

guest won’t answer me by phone or email

one c/s agent said she wasn’t allowed to phone them so early. 8 am!!!!!!!!

later another said she wasn’t allowed to phone them so late. At 7 pm

any ideas friends how to cancel this booking without a massive penalty??????

Leave them. Because you can show on your side how many times you tried to warn them, and they just did not respond.

Can you not arrange safe parking somewhere else for them?

Cause if you can't get hold of them, then you can't cancel.

THEY are arriving today and refused to change......it’s the police who will take away their car.....I had a really bad experience with 2 Italians who did it as a scam and were rehoused and I was charged for the rehousing.

What did you end up doing? What happened?

Sorry I've actually never experienced anything like that but rules are rules and I like sticking to them.
