how to get a payment without having a pos system

I just started working, but I do not have electronic equipment to settle with guests. Tomorrow a guest drives out who transferred money to a virtual card. How do I get money? How and where to pay commissions?

Hi there,

Thanks for asking!

Unfortunately if you have activated the option where guests can pay online then you do need a system where you can charge the virtual card. Either you need to phone your bank to get a pos system or you need to phone Booking.com to ask them if they are willing to transfer the money to you.

If the client paid Booking.com, and Booking.com provided you with virtual details then they already took the commission. (Partners can correct me if I'm wrong).

Best of luck!

This is correct. We had to switch off the pre-pay system as we cannot process virtual cards.

I've said this before but it's worth repeating, in this country a small business is not generally allowed to have offline EDC processing. Therefore it would be great if BC offered a physical system as A-g-o-d-a do. Seeing as both companies are under the same umbrella and have equalled their policies in many areas, why not? It would be better for both partners and BC i.e. more revenue for anyone plus no show/late cancellation protection for all.
