I have many questions about becoming a host

We have a door code to give our guests but I can't see where that can be entered.  We also can offer direct credit into our business bank account, where can this be entered, etc etc.

You have posted this in the partner forum so we can only offer advice.  It is not the helpdesk.  I am also in NZ so good luck to your business.

There isn't anywhere to enter door code and site is primarily at bigger businesses.  You can put something in the small print and let them know there is no manned reception.  Also you can set up an automated message when you get a booking to let guests know you will issue a code and make sure you send out code a couple of days before arrival with instructions. 

You cannot set up having guests paying into your bank account.  Obviously you don't want expense of EFTPOS machine if small business so you have 2 options.

1.  The best - Payments by booking.com, so booking.com takes all the credit card detail and processes payment.  Then you get paid, less commission.  This does take a bit of time and also a bit of a charge but without it guests do not show up or cancel very late and you can do nothing to collect the payment.  You will need to contact helpdesk to find out if you can do this.

2.  Take cash from guest when they arrive.  This is the option on the system but obviously you can contact the guest and give bank details if they prefer.
