manage the rental of your apartment alone
Hello,
We own an apartment that we rent out through an agency.
We would like to manage our apartment alone without the agency. Is it possible to take over the rental publication made by the agency or do we have to create a new publication by losing the comments?

Are you saying the agency registered the property on booking.com?
If yes then you need your own registration, is very likely directly with BdC.
If you have extranet dashboard access then go to inbox menu, booking.com messages, click on contact us to reveal.

Yes, you can take over the agency's listing - there is a process, can take a long time and you might not be able to take payments online
You can always set up your own listings on AirBnB, TripAdvisor and HomeAway/VRBO - these will be much quicker than trying to take over a Booking.com listing, plus you get the advantage of online payments immediately

I confirm that our apartment has been put on-line by booking by the agency (which goes through the chanel manager "Avantio").
So, if I understand you correctly, it is therefore difficult to take over the management of my apartment myself by removing the agency and mentioning my booking account?
So, I must ask the agency to remove my apartment from the site, to register the apartment via my booking account? and wait for the booking process to confirm that it is a real good before it is published?
Are all the comments mentioned for our apartment lost?
So it's starting over from scratch.
Can you also tell me if it's better to have a chanel manager or not for a single apartment? If yes, which is better in free version?

Hi yes keep it simple and you will be live quicker.
Setup new account , dont try to use same name, etc. Get verified and clean fresh start.
Chsnnel manager are only of use for when you want to use two or more OTA groups.
E.g. expedia group of OTAs, Booking.com group of OTAs
Beds24 is perfect for doing so but requires planning, and understanding how it all works.
Start small with one OTA, BdC and their payment gateway for rate plan as prepaid .

If your property is already registered with us, it is not needed to make another registration. You can take over the existing listing.
If the agency that registered your property is willing to help you, they can contact us on your behalf and we will update the listing.
If the agency is refusing to pass you the account, please contact our Customer Support team and they will assist you.

I tried calling your number to discuss removing our property listing from our agency who owe us a lot of money for rentals over the last 6 months but when I select the 1, 2 or 3 it asks me for a property ID number which I don't have as the agency has it.
