My property was not ready to list, but I got a booking now.

Please help to cancel it or determinate my contract immediately.

You have posted this on the partner forum so we cannot help with this. While you sort out with help team make sure you go into your Calendar and set to Closed so you don't get any more bookings.  You can use Bulk edit.

Contact booking.com help team using Inbox icon on Extranet (Option booking.com messages) or give help team a call see link for local phone numbers.

This is a classic thing with new registrations, close availability straight away, set status closed for each Room Type created.

When it comes to cancelling an unwanted guest or booking, you need to be aware of the BdC relocation policy.

i.e. if the guest complains to BdC or does not agree to being cancelled they will relocate them and then send you the bill in the Extranet Finance section.


 

My general procedure for dealing with this scenario is deal direct ly with the guest.

 

  • Engage with them, for alternative dates;
  • Advise them you are only getting setup;
  • Create a Message Template for exactly this scenario;
  • Try accomodate them if at all possible;
  • Typically:
    • Message guest advise of situation, but dont over share. 
    • Inform them if they cant agree to the alternatives you are suggesting that  you will proceed with cancelation.
    • Inform them the cancellation notification will inclide an action for them to click in order for any prepaid booking to be triggered for full refund.
    • By this point assuming this has been done and you are proceeding to cancel, then on the details page , on right click Request Cancel.
    • Choose Option2, this triggers the notification to guest  for them to action.
