Verifying your property with a video

Hi, all!

This post is dedicated to our new starters. 

       1. Let me start by welcoming you to the Partner Community!

       2. Just to help you along with Booking.com - now that you have registered, you also have to verify your location.

You can do this by uploading a video of your property to the extranet - or use one of our alternative ways to verify your location on Booking.com.

Have any of you verified your location using video upload recently?

I’m already verified with an old account, but I would like to use some of the new features that don’t seem to be available on the older accounts, like turning on Request to Book, collecting a security deposit, etc. I created a new account, but it is asking me for verification, and I am already verified. I called CS, and they said they won’t verify the new account, because they always look at the oldest account. :(

Can you help me convert my existing, verified account to use the new features?

I added my property about 15 days ago, but until now I have not received confirmation that my property has been added to Booking.

Verification has been a huge problem for many new partners. Hope uploading video will help them .

Thank you for your question and for registering your property on our site!

 

Once you’ve completed your registration, we’ll review it and send you a confirmation email once your property listing has been set up. We may require further verification from you during the review process. You’ll then be able to access the extranet, where you can update your availability, set your rates and adjust any other details of your listing.

 

I hope that you'll receive the confirmation as fast as possible.

I've been waiting for 3 weeks now and I havent heard anything from the booking.com staff as to the progress of it being verified.

Hello

 

Hiw to upload a video? I was trying  to do it step by step by ny only option was letter. I have got a video ready but cannot upload it and unfortunately my property is invisible on booking.

 

Please if you can let me know how to do this

I have the same problem. There is no video uploading option anywhere in booking.com and there is no channel for support. I hope someone will read and help.

@Justina - I cannot upload a video too. There is no TAB on which I can upload a video. In the instructions is written: 

  1. Log in to the extranet.
  2. Click Confirm location on the Confirm property location banner.

but there is no Confirm location or any Confirm property location banner ?

There is a banner that shows up towards the end of the registration process. I see you have the Action “Continue registration”. Maybe there is a bit more info you have to fill out before you see the banner. Have you tried clicking on “Continue registration”?

Yes I did continue the registration and nothing happens. Its filled with thicks OK alover, and then when I enter Coomplete registration and open for bookings says one and the same error:

I have spoken to someone and have been told that I will receive a link to upload the video.. No idea how long it is gonna take but hopefully not long

Booking team I have spoken to advised that they will contact me and send link.

I already sent through the video upload and received no response for the new property. 

Terrible partner support. No one responds to messages regardless of which option you pick in the contact us section. It's frustrating

Hi Chisanga Mwelwa,

 

I'm so sorry to hear that. Thank you for sharing your feedback. 

 

If your video is uploaded successfully, a green banner stating ‘Video successfully uploaded’ will appear. 

 

If your video fails to upload, you’ll see a red banner with the message, ‘Some videos are not uploaded’. You’ll also receive more information on how to resolve the problem.

 

Once you’ve uploaded your video and we’ve confirmed your property’s location, the Confirm property location banner will disappear from the extranet.

 

Did you notice any of the above when you uploaded your video?

Thank you for your response Didem. I took it a step further and verified the properties via Zoom with a booking.com staff. I was reassured that the properties will be up and running on Friday. This did not happen. I have sent countless messages to customer care asking for help and zero feedback.

My other properties have been closed as well and I have asked for a justification as we have lost revenue for almost two months now and no response has been given. I called customer support directly, they apologized and said it will be resolved immediately and nothing ever happened. 

My bills have piled up and I continue to receive no real time support except for automated messages

Hello Didem. Thanks for checking in. Unfortunately nothing has changed and I have moved on to use another platform for my other listings since booking.com offers no help or response. Business must continue after all. Was excited about using booking.com in the past but they have offered no resolution for the challenges I am facing and I only get automated messages. It's too much work to get verified and expensive to make international calls to get any form of support without results.
