Sergei - Community Manager

Welcome to the Partner Community

Hi everyone,

And a big welcome to those who are just joining us in the community.

With all the changes our industry is going through, connecting with your fellow partners and working through changes together is especially helpful. With that, I thought now would be a good time to welcome our newest community members and introduce myself.

My name is Sergei and I’m the Community Manager here in the Partner Community. My role is to ensure this space continues to be a place for all Booking.com partners to join professional conversations, share your experiences and feedback. From time to time, I post but this space is really for YOU.

If you’re just joining us and not sure where to get started, here’s what I suggest:

  1. Start by clicking over to your profile (top right corner) and adding a profile picture so your fellow partners can easily recognize you
  2. Take a look through the #featured tab to check out some great reads
  3. Create a new post introducing yourself and telling us a bit about your property!

Looking forward to getting to know you,

Sergei and the Community Team

4. Partner Profile missing Property listing.

  • Make sure you also add your 'View My Listing' link into the partner profile so others can see it to help with queries and config.
  • Partner Created Guide:- How & Why Add your Listing to your Partner Community Profile
  • Please do not use a 3rdparty external link, only a property listing link on Bdc. Even if you have multiple.
  • If you need to talk about another listing in a topic then include that listing link specifically.

5. There are no stupid questions

  • I just ask that you first stop think about what it is you are trying to do,
  • then share and be highly detailed, not vague or generic.
  • examples: location/country; type of accommodation; browser on OS being used etc.

6. Partner Guides & Feedback (Thumbs up /Down)

  • Clicking on a Partner's name can pull up everything they post including Partner Created guides.
  • So if you find the Partner Help Area on top of every page in Community not answering your questions, try either search for the right term and filter by community results versus Partner Help area.
  • Some will not know the right term or keyword or there are multiple words for the same thing, perhaps think about what the industry term would be or google search.
  • Whats not cool is being impatient or not liking the correct answer and clicking thumbs down. Something I recently spotted. Not cool.
  • On the other side of that is not leaving a thumbs up when others try to help, even if its not the complete answer or solution. Be Nice

7. Adapt & Adopt

  • No two OTA companies are the same.
  • You will need to learn the basics of the system. No one can do it for you.
  • This is covered very well under Partner Help.
  •  You really do need to read through it all.
  • You will see things you may not have realised you agreed to when you signed up. E.g. Auto confirmations based on calendar and not manually reviewed by you.

That's all I can think of for now ..

Kind regards

As a partner myself I have help many on here, so lets get to it:

  1. Create a new topic - Start a conversation
  2. Try be succinct and concise about what it you are trying to do or what the perceived issue is.
  3. Clicking on my name with bring up my many posts on How-Tos and more.
  4. My full concise contact How-To guide is below in my signature area.

If you still want to give up before you get started then you can use this to remove property listing.

  1. In the extranet, go to rates and avail menu, and close rooms.
  2. go to the ‘Inbox’ tab.
  3. Select ‘Booking.com messages’.
  4. Right Pane - Click on ‘See Contact Options’
  5. Choose Account
  6. Now choose TERMINATE., follow the prompts

Friendly reminder : we cannot help with account nor invoice/payout issues here, you must message Partner Support to open a case and then if urgent follow up with a phone call. see contact options below.

Simply report to BdC Partner Support , see below 3 methods. They will never see any post on the Partner Hub.

Don’t use booking.com because they keep you money and it’s fraud. Go for an other company instead. It is impossible to get in contact with their financial department. They kept my money for several months now. The money I worked hard for all summer renting out my room in Sweden. This is to warn new so called partners.

thats off topic , please stop hijacking topics, make you own to vent in.

and its not fraud, its you not knowing the real problem and root cause ./facepalm

many make these off hand comments about BdC not knowing or not sharing the reall and full details creating a misinfomation about BdC.
