1 night booking when I have set 7 night minimum

I am fuming that I have to rely on other booking.com properties to get an answer as it is now impossible to ask booking.com direct, this is SO wrong when it is them not you that get my money!!

However, if someone could help I would be grateful.  I have received a booking for one night during a period that I have set (and I have just checked) a 7 night minimum.  How was this allowed to happen? how do i get rid of the booking I have received?

Thanks

Hi

Welcome to Partner Community where partners vent to other partners and the Community Team. :)

  1. You can submit message and find dedicated phone number here : Contact BdC- Location of Partner Only Phone number and Message methods
  2. Booking for < 7 nights getting through. Right so lets think this through logically, starting with : Rate Plans. Open the Rate Plan menu and make sure all Plans have a minimum set. In calendar List view , you can expand the left view for plans and promotions. then looking across the rows look for the Min.Length of stay values. Normally the rate plan vlaue is the default , so 7. Then you can adhoc alter this value per date.
  3. How did it happen? The usual clue is in the reservation details page, where the cost is broke down with names of rate plans and promotions with % Do you have promotions enabled? There is a setting in promotions that allows the guest set the length. I cant remeber what is called . Its a drop down box with first entry called something like, "based on guest choice', then followed by values for number of nights.

Kind Regards

Well done, it was my non-refundable rate rather than the standard.

thanks.

This happened to me last year for the same reason. It was really inconvenient. Now I am reopening my listing and feel so panicked about the complexity of Booking.com I am considering not going ahead.

Hi , its not so much it being complex, its more a case of a learning curve and making sure all is setup .

You can buy time by keeping all room types closed .

Thanks, I have used it for a while but came to it from Airbnb which I find easier.

...and there was no way of knowing your general booking settings, like length of stay, would not carry over to another rate. So I think it's actually bad design on Booking.con part.
