Cancelation of reservation
I have 3 bookings in August but I need to cancel all, as the aparment will not be available.
Appreciate if anyone knows how I can inform the people who booked or Booking.com administration.
HI Yosun ,
Welcome to the forum.
Unfortunately there is little that can be done about having a Booking.com reservation but no availability at your property. It counts as a double booking. So either you need to honor the booking, or you need to inform Booking.com immediately so they can arrange alternative accommodation for your guest.
Read this article: Will I pay commission on overbookings?
I suggest acting Now so as to ensure enough time to work it out.
Best of luck!
I also want to only have one reservation per month, to see if I can organize myself, so I need to be able to cancel the remaining days in the calendar
Hi there,
Well that you can do by Closing the rooms once you have a booking for the month.
On the Extranet go to Rates and Availability, Open/Close rooms.
Best of luck!
Hi everybody,
I'm new at the Forum, but working with booking for some years now. Also I need help time to time (like now). It is happening time to time that guests want to cancel the booking couple of hours before arriving. It happens to me that some time I have possibility to do that and sometimes not. Just in a few days I had two cancellation and for one there is commission to be paid and for other not (which I have to declined...)
Do you had some of this changes????
Best luck
Petra
Hi All; Firstly when you want to block out your room from being booked ensure that you click on the right room the right date and make sure you have a 0 in the availability box and it turns red. If it is not 0 your room is still available.
Secondly;- When you are overbooked or need to cancel a guest booking.com put the onus on you to find the guest alternate accommodation and if the new accommodation is more expensive than yours you could be up for the difference. beware double bookings. I advise to get to know the other accommodation providers in your area so if this happens to you or them you have your own little network to sort it out.
Hope this helps
Mike
Hi,
sorry but I think we didn't understand... I didn't have overbooking. Guests cancel the booking on day of arriving. For one of them I have to pay fee and for other not. Sometimes this things happens this time baby was ill, and others had another plans. So i'm little confused for one paying the fee for other not. Although for one I confirm cancellation for other not, but for one I confirm cancellation I have to pay the fee, and for the one I didn't confirm don't have to pay the fee.
Too confused...
Thanks
Petra
