Guest Review System

I would like to give feedback for BDC review system and hope that you will forward this feedback to upper management. Please kindly understand our perspectives. 

To be honest, we all think this review system is not beneficial for hotel partners and end customers. 

First of all, for a rating system from 1-10 is absolutely idealistic for hotels. There are a few chances that a hotel can perform so well that we can reach 10/10. Other channels such as Expedia, Agoda, Google, and Tripadvisor are doing a 1-5 rating system and it makes a lot of sense to rate. Which one would sound worse - a 4/5 or an 8/10? 

Second, the rating system only considered the final rating from 1-10 and discarded the other 6 factors: staff, facilities, location, cleanliness, comfort, and value for money. Many times, we received high scores in all 6 factors and a low score in the main question. This is very demotivating for us - in this digital world, a rating would mean a lot of SMEs to survive. 

Third, the review system deleted all of our reviews 2-3 years ago from the post-covid period. So now that the economy recovers, we have to start at a much more difficult stand where we have to start all over again. We can just see our reviews getting deleted on a daily basis, which makes us feel like our effort is being discarded to the ocean. 

Finally, we barely receive any support regarding guest reviews from BDC, from report misconduct to review removal.
