Heating issues in winter for apartment
I am renting flats in the north of Spain and face time to time issues with some guests about the heating.
As we all know when the flat is close for few days it is quite hard to warm it in few minutes even more when the guest will only stay 1 night (weekend type for the saturday night).
We also use a wood and coal system to get the place warm and pre heat 2 hours before checkin and also have a gas heater with wheels (3000W power) for a extra heat that you may want in a specific room.
The point is the flat is big and some ppl expect us to warm it like a sauna. By law more than 18 degrees is the limit and most of the time we are arround 20 - 23 ... to say something as the system is with coal it is hard in some specific moments to get it warm or precise like gas or petrol ...
We usualy help the guest to use it or we do it ourselves (but have to access the unit and is a bit privacy issue) or he can freely use it and have enought wood and coal. Even tought some dislike the system and expect us to warm with electricity that is out of price in Spain. This week as it is a flat we even got a guest that bring his own electrical heater (nowdays quite powerfull and small) to feel like home but the bill for us.
We consider this a behavior from the guest and to be honest as in winter it may happen quite often we are quite lost on how to handle this kind of things.
Thanks for advice, ideas or even better solutions ;-)
