The idiotic website - booking.com
I am growing increasingly frustrated with the website navigation and user interface that booking.com is using . It's a shame that a company with so much experience and clients has such a poor user experience . Please hire someone that understands UI and redo this garbage that you call website .
Thank you !

Hi! Dragos and welcome to the Partner Community...
Do you have any suggestions so navigation can be easier for all of us???
Your kind comments will be very much appreciated.
Wish you a wonderful day...
Apologies for the rage-rant however every time I am trying to change something I run in to a multitude of issues with confusing navigation and no fluency. On top of that the continuous need to login to every page, total lack of session connection between their website pages is beyond frustrating. There is decent functionality but the confusing navigation with a million buttons for every little thing is so archaic that I'm having flashbacks. How is everyone else dealing with the website navigation ?
Website navigation is horrible - just take a look at airbnb, simple, user friendly, accomodating, it comes with and automation for on line payment, what you have to do by hand in booking - airbnb does automatically. Booking for clients or Extra net for hosts - you have to deal with a million trivial details and there is no simplicity in it. It's chaotic, it's not simple and it's frustrating.
Make the website more user friendly please, it will be so much more efficient both for guests and for hosts ! And as a result you will increase your income !
Hi!
Website navigation in general is horrible sometimes…
You have to search again and again to find what you need…
Once though you find your path everything is more easy…
Wish you a nice day!!!
Depends on what you're used to I guess.
BDC was the first OTA I got my teeth into and as such it is my preferred format of all of them!
Expedia, hmmmm ok but a little over-complicated and has a nasty payment claim system.
Agoda, well lets just say I hate them with a passion, in every respect, so my opinion on their site is very likely negatively biased.
AirBnB, nope, not for me, very quirky, with most features hidden until you go live.....madness.
Thank you for the reply and perspective. I personally find Airbnb easy to navigate and setup . I am only renting 3 properties and it’s very easy to manage while on booking.com after adding 1 propriety , waiting for the code that never came -called and was able to resolve this over phone I decided not to add the rest of them due to the complicated process . Don’t even get me started on payments. I am only able to access my money a month or more after my guests have left due to really slow payment processing . I am so unhappy with booking .com that I am favouring renting anywhere else for cheaper . One thing that booking has is the popularity amongst baby boomers and millennials that I hope will start shifting soon as I am noticing people (including myself ) offering better rates on other platforms . p.s even this forum is not mobile friendly and with undefined forms and no autocorrect . It’s like I’m posting on MySpace in the 90’s
Dear Dragos no apologies needed.
I also sometimes get confused in navigation but it’s because mostly, as fuss mentioned above, I am not used to it.
The more you navigate the better acknowledgement you will gain.
Continuous login might be frustrating but I think it’s for our own safety...
fluff, thanks for sharing with us your experience with other OTA.
Positive thinking helps...
It is a complete mess and it is hard to comprehend. Simple examples of mess. * Why do I need two accounts? Also my account does not seem to see the listing. The only way I can get to my listing is to click on the link in an email that was sent to me indicating my listing is there. And yes I am using the right account. * Why have such complicated advanced tools? I get that you want to cater to all clients. But the thing is that doing as such you make it complicated for everybody except the 10% that needs that complexity. * I type this text with paragraphs and spaces and carriage returns, yet it appears to be a mess. * I am sent this, "Please note that we are not able to assist you further with this issue. Should you have any questions about this Termination Note, please contact your local support team." Oh REALLY? Department A handles the termination, but if you have questions about the termination you talk to Department B? REALLY? Oh COME ON... Since most of my clients come from AirBnB first and VRBO second I said bugger this and decided to shut down my property on Booking.com. I have better things to do with my life.
Sorry to hear about this…
