As I understand the question is not about review, but address itself. If si, then yes, we can ask Booking to alter it. They can manually alter your location if you provide them exact geographic coordinates. Find them through Google maps
Katerinka12 no it’s not about location I have given my coordinates and the spot is in the right place. As many, I disagree with the reviews made in location. Joey you have a point maybe renaming. One of my guest told me that he thought my property was in Athens although it’s clearly written that my location is 55 Kim from Athens. It’s not that he didn’t like the location but he hadn’t bothered to see where exactly he was coming. Before arrival I had contacted him asking him if he had any questions about location and he told me no since he had been living for 9 years in Athens. After all he loved the Studio and the panoramic view but he gave me 7.5 for location and he wrote that the place is 60 Kim away from Athens.
No matter what you do, providing all information, going out of the way to help, becoming "friends", giving a bottle of champagne and private jet???... We can't teach in few days a person, who is a "city boy" and didn't have an effort to learn that place with great nature, clean air, no pollution just can't exist in the city
Have we all sent the feedback and/or suggestions on what to rename Location to Booking.com via the extranet? Because that is the only way to ignite change, is via those little buttons.
I kind of like Location, but would maybe change it to Locale. As in, the type of area and where it is situated in regards to shops/attractions etc and not physically the Address. Because a lot of my guests understand Location as the physical address and how easily they found it.
Leandri you’ve got a point. Thanks for your remarks. Leandri would be possible for you to create a template so we can all decide on our feedback to Booking.com. I personally have send my feedback and phoned them but nobody gave me a solution. Thanks again for your support.
Good morning!!! Did you see this???? “AirBnB answers: protecting you from one-off bad reviews “
AirBnB seeks to help hosts with negative reviews and location reviews.
So our feedback on how the review system can be as fair as possible is vital.
"Because a lot of my guests understand Location as the physical address and how easily they found it."
Exactly! I believe, the majority of the guests in any country thinks this way. Therefore changing their thoughts to neighborhood is not an easy thing to do.
And besides how can we be responsible for getting reviews for another establishment that does not belong to us? Any city in the world now has shops in any district... So many pharmacies as well now everywhere... Like I sometimes think do people get That sick that they need so many? Taxis are everywhere too and even carsharing... What I mean it's not a big surprise for the guest.
As for me personally I will benefit from it of course as I am meters away from 2 casinos, Hilton, Maxims and Marriott and hundreds of restaurants. In my case my area is more sellable thans the apartment itself.
However, I believe it will not be fair to other hosts. As host must be responsible for location of his property only. And everything else goes as sweet add on.
I just hope that I will experience more educated guests, that when they give their review they will understand that despite of all great establishments I mentioned above they are renting a space in the most overpopulated city in the world with highest density rate. If they can't understand that those CEOs and "well traveled" people, how they will understand Locale?..
"Good day, I hope you are keeping well. I would like to send feedback regarding the Review category named Location. According to myself and some of the partners on the Partner Forum, this category name is a bit problematic as our guests all understand different things under the word Location. Some feel it has to do with How easy it was to find the property, how hard it was to get to the property, where the property is located in relation to the nearest city etc. We have come to the conclusion that the category might not be well enough explained when presented to the client when they complete the review, or perhaps it is the word itself that is misunderstood. We have all decided to send this feedback through to you so that you may investigate and perhaps assist in either making the category more clear or changing the wording."
You make a good point. There might be things lost in translation which would also not help us much. But that's where the "explain it better" part needs to be done by Booking.com.
Because there are partners on the forum that indicate clearly how far away from the city they are located and yet the client reviews the location poorly because they didn't know or they didn't like it.
I absolutely agree with you Leandri. Booking.com has to make it clear to the guests what exactly Location stands for. “Explain it better” Leandri thankfully you understand me 100%. Many thanks for your kind support.
Joey of course you have a point that’s why we want Booking.com to make it clear for all of us since now we are hosting but maybe tomorrow we can be guests.
We just scored a 7.5 for location for the first time. We are a Farmstay as clearly described in our information and our situation is clearly noted as 10 kms from 3 different towns. We are very easy to find on Google Maps. I clearly cannot change our location and we are obviously going to be in the country as a Farmstay, so how do we deal with this issue? Perhaps, as someone else suggested, Location could be included in the rating review, but not included in the overall score. That way, potential guests can see if the location is convenient but,as owners we can do nothing about improving our location, so it would not reflect in our overall score.
Hi Manderleypark and welcome to the forum. Unfortunately location is a tough subject. Leandri has enlightened us about this issue in the best way. Hopefully booking.com wil do something about location giving more explanation.
Manderleypark , thanks for posting. We all need to send feedback to Booking.com regarding this if we want change. So please can you also send your feedback to Booking.com?
Extranet -> Home -> Scroll all the way down -> Send Feedback.
Just write to them what your problem is and a suggestion on how to fix it. The more people talk about the same subject, the more likely it will get picked up by the Booking.com team and re-examined.

Katerinka12 you are absolutely right. Therefore we do our best and try not to worry so much about reviews.
Hey all,
I'm a bit late to the post.

Hello everyone.
M Adamopoulou , I suggest something along the line of:
"Good day, I hope you are keeping well. I would like to send feedback regarding the Review category named Location. Might have to add that to the feedback...

Ok Leandri I got it.
Feedback all the way and again and again....
Hurrah! @ M Adamopoulou ... where is the feather for my Musketeer hat? Think I lost it in battle...
Leandri-Klopper you will probably find it in another battle. The war is not over. We are still alive dont forget.
Cheers!!!
