Marketplace for B2B products

Hi there,

In 2018 I was at The Next Web in Amsterdam where I exhibited my product Freshdrip, a single-serve coffee dripper that my company is selling primarily to hospitality businesses.

At this event, I met someone from Booking.com who told me that he was working on the launch of a new marketplace for partners where products like Freshdrip could be showcased and advertised as nice alternatives to existing brands.

Unfortunately, I got distracted by someone else and forgot to ask for his business card and could never track him down. Does anyone know if this platform ever launched and if so, where can I find it?

Hi Alex,

I havent seen anything in this Partner Community.

Contacting directly booking.com is a good idea.

I already tried that too. I even spoke with someone from the Homes department and they had never heard of it. But this guy I met said it was literally a few days from launch.

I looked at this coffee product's website and its 90-second video at:  https://www.freshdrip.com/

It is basically a tea bag, with ground coffee inside.   A guest still must heat hot water in a kettle to pour into the small bag over the drinking cup.

A Keurig-style one-cup coffee maker would be faster and more efficient.  But I offer my guests a 12-cup (drip style) coffee maker, ground roast coffee, sugar and cream.

Don, thanks for sharing.

Its not a bad idea but I think its a bit expensive... It looks handy and easy to prepare and you dont have to wash the coffee maker...

For someone that doesnt have a coffee maker is an alternative idea....

Maybe we should try it...

Hi Don.

We don't have Keurig in Europe. Here Nespresso is the most common coffee maker in hotel rooms but they are often unhygienic due to not getting cleaned properly and they offer absolutely zero ritual.

That's where Freshdrip offers a real alternative and we've seen astonishingly positive results in all the hotels where we launched.

For this, you don't need a custom machine, only hot water.

Alex:  Your hotel guests would still need a microwave oven and a microwave-proof glass pouring spout to make boiling water.

Unless the hot water comes from your hotel guestroom's bathroom sink (which never reaches a boil)?

I assume you work for Freshdrip, which is why you are recommending this coffee product.

No. In Europe, all hotel rooms have kettles. I know you don't have those in the US due to the lower voltage but here a kettle is standard.

So there is no need to microwave anything. And you're correct. I also own Freshdrip.
