Receiving Bad Reviews After Reporting Misconduct

Is it possible to get reviews removed from booking.com if the guest that posted it was involved in multiple illegal activities while staying at the property? The guest had a reservation that was expected to last a week but they were removed from the property after one night because they:

  • tampered with multiple smoke detectors
  • threatened to bring a group of friends to the hotel to assault the receptionist
  • Refused to leave the hotel after being told to.

The police were called 3 times because of them and guest misconduct was reported but now 1 month after they stayed at the hotel they have posted a review giving us the lowest rating possible in all categories. Is there anything we can do to get the review removed??

Alex, hi

may I ask whether your issue was solved?

I had the same risk recently, but luckily client cancelled reservation by himself (client had a very bad reputation outside BOOKING environment

Hey Alex,

I have the same issue at the moment and I am actually wondering whether I should even report guest misconduct for fear of a bad review - as Booking says they might contact the guests. Since I have only one week to report the misconduct, and they have a month to post a review, I am afraid that they will completely low score us. This will be off course totally unfair, but nevertheless a low score will bring my average down and affect my business. I am not sure what to do .
