Repetitive contact number under different guest name
In the past days, I've been receiving guest bookings from the same number but with different names. I informed booking.com the second time I received it although I never reached out even to the first since I already had doubts as the number used cannot be reached. Booking.com told me to inform them once I receive another one which I did and now it's the fifth reservation. But they haven't replied since I reported the third and fourth bookings since I received an email that they are on: Urgent | Extranet outage. Have you received the same? I am wondering what could be the problem. Maybe their website was hacked. But it's just so annoying to keep on receiving a hoax booking.

I've had situations where the same Nr books under different names. I'm glad you reported it because it can be a Travel Agent who onsells your availability at a profit. So they book for other people under their own Cellphone nr and they add commission onto the booking.
We all experienced an Extranet Outage, I doubt it had something to do with this situation you find yourself in though. They're online again and all is well.
I'd say, instead of waiting for a reply... give them a call and keep on the line until you reach someone who has been dealing with your issue.

Oh, thank you for this! I actually thought of that too but my only concern is, are they supposed to use a number which cannot be reached?
Just this morning, I reaceived a message from booking.com and said that the booking is from an agent but since we require a reservation fee, we give them a deadline and if not complied, we just request for their booking to be cancelled.
Good to hear of a similar situation. Posting here was actually my last option but thanks to you, I might be posting often then just to confirm my doubts and just as an added knowledge.

You're right, this community really helps especially when you find out that others experience the same.
I tried using that agent and yeah, the same number appeared even if another number was used. Now I can breath easy and move forward.
