We have just received the award 2020 for the second year.

We are very happy and we would like to thank very warmly all the Booking team who knew how to help us, to advise us, to make us becoe more professional and happy to do our profession.

We must also thanks all our hosts who trusted us and whogive us the opportunity to remain attentive to their needs and their requests..

Thank you to all of you for giving George and me the happiness of sharing with you the love that we have for our place La Maison Vert Amande at Kea Cyclades.

There are no secret to receive good comments from our hosts.

My motto is : My hosts come to us as a customers, but always leaves as our friends. 

Every moments spend with them should be done very carefully. Our customers need to feel that they are loved and that we are very happy to share our place with them. And this must be real.....!

The emotional rating as to be above the financial rating. And that is most of the people are looking for today.

The success of a professional come from the fact that he like what he does,  and therefore the result is repended.

And if you decided to choose a company as Booking.com, then you can be in the best !

My wife and I were e-mailed last night of our 2020 Traveler Review Award by Booking,com.

 

However, why isn't this award shown on our Booking,com reservation homepage, which would encourage potential guests to stay with us?

 

Our Airbnb Superhost award status is shown on our Airbnb reservation webpage.

Ou la la....TripAdvisor...the worst ....how to trust a company who propose you to pute very nice, but falses comments ....How can you imagine that your neighbour, or your competitor or an anonymous person can write a comment without ever stay or visit your place  !..ha ha ha..

You are right that anyone can post reviews on TripAdvisor, even if they haven't stayed there, so reviews could be worthless - but Booking.com reviews system is not good either as owners will get rated lower because of the new reviews system .....

Good morning Don,

personally i doent like at all AirBnB business's methods. The clientele is not of quality, it is like the compagy.

When we travel with my husband, each tie i rent by AirBnB, the rentals are mediocre.

I started to rent 8 years ago with them, it was good work, but over the years this compagny has be deteriorated by their methods.

Besides, we ( hosts) will have a lot of problems in the future because of their working methods....

Most of AirBnB customers are looking only for a cheap bed and they didn't care about the place that they stay or about what you can offer them to discover your country!

Please do not compare AirBnB and Booking.com, and it good that Booking.com doesn't have the same commercial approach.

I just said that politically without personal attack. Have a nice days.

So the new score system is not that all bad as everyone feared.

We too received an award - I think most properties do - and yes it was a few steps up from last years award.

I still can't fathom why Booking think it is okay for guests to rate everything as 10/10 and then give a lower 8 or 9 as overall rate - this does not make any sense to me. It has happened twice in the past week and without any explaination.

Also we are really happy having achieved the rating we got as we have a diversity of product on our property, therefore attracting a diversity of guest, with very different expextations, sometimes unrealistic, and requirements. Meeting guests expectations is the key to success of course,but it starts with the guest being able to choose the correct product to suit their needs, which does not always happen, resulting in lower ratings.Much harder to please all the people all the time than a one cottage or identical product rangein a hotel.

Thank you booking.com. for keeping the records to reflect what the customers think.

Isle of Wight …

We received 2 awards for 2 of the 3 properties we had on BDC last year. The 3rd property got most of it's bookings from TripAdvisor, so got the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence.

This year we have at lot more properties, so hoping (and expecting!) a lot more awards.

Congratulations to EVERYONE for getting the Review awards................a lot of hard work but well done.

I just have a question (*maybe Sergie, can answer it )

We have ALL received the 2020 Review Award  BUT 2020 has ONLY JUST BEGUN.(so therefore the award is not for 2020 but for 2019 ????  SO What happened to the 2019 Review award which all of our hard work was for !!!

 

I had a guest in the apartment today and I have the 2020 award on the wall but the Guest asked where is the 2019 Award...ready........the question from her..........."Did you have a bad review for 2019 is that why it is not on the wall ?????

 

I have to ask .How can we have a review for 2020 when it has JUST STARTED !!!!.Where is the 2019 AWARD ?????

JUST ASKING !!!!!!......Maybe it should read 2019/2020..........waiting for BDC Community to answer (Thank you)

The 2020 edition of the awards is different this year. The 2020 edition review score is based on the average score of all guest reviews published on the Booking.com website and app between 30 October 2017 and 30 October 2019. We pulled the data based on this date window on 1 November 2019. 

The reason that is 2020 and not 2019 is that we received feedback that partners wanted your Awards to appear more relevant for the period in which they would be displayed. Your Award will be displayed during 2020, so we adjusted the year accordingly.

As Michael commented...guests can be suspicious...so why doesn’t BDC inform guests that this new score is the average score for the last 3 years???

Maria.......good question.............which partners asked for more relevant periods.??? To be rewarded for the year we worked hard makes perfect sense to me !!!

I have NEVER seen this mentioned in the comments before EVER !!!...............SERIOUSLY a very strange answer....why why !!! and why not say this reward is for the last three years !!!..Not just 2020 which REALLY has not even started (technically speaking).Anyway well done all.......Another question Community  Admin.............How many HOSTS in the World have scored a perfect 10 for the last three years....................ANY !!!

Hi Pibomarco...............Nice to hear your comments again ( you naughty boy hahaha) I had 216 guests with BDC and about 100 direct during 2019 and scored over a three year period..............are you ready A PERFECT 10 !!!,,,Impossible BUt we did it  !!!!

I have asked BDC on several occassions how many Hosts get this perfect 10 but still no answer..Don't know why ??? maybe they are afraid to say ..NOT MANY !! But we are living proof it is possible...........a damn lot of work but very rewarding for the work Rita and I put into the property.

Once again Great to hear from you and I always enjoy your  interesting and truthful comments very much. Hopefully one day (inshalla) we shall meet for a wine or three !!! and discuss BDC and many of the comments.

Whoua.....in addition to the hard work that you do for your rentals your are both resplendent.

Personally i like that the owners post one of there personal photo, it gives us (as the hosts) a first idea of the way in wich we can be received...

Photos of the rooms or the house are always attractive but it's not always the case for the owners...

I think about 150 last year but BDC takes off the reviews after 2 years old so not sure ????

We also had the highest awards with Stayz and ABNB  but ONLY use BDC now  (as we believe they are the best for accomodation like ours).....We really ONLY use BDC website as we do everything else............we collect the money by credit card machine/do the meet and greet and message the guest.....all good.

Should arrange a nice picture of the two of us, but it will take a lot of scrubbing and grooming. We are farmers, yahoo ;)
