BDC ANTI-green, naughty, naughty...
Right Messrs BDC, taking you to task for UN-GREENNESS!
You have just changed the layout of the forms we print our end of each booking.
The old one had each day's details listed on a single line, the new one takes three lines per day!
This means that bookings of up to 10 days could be printed in their entirety (sans messages etc.) on a single sheet of paper...now anything more than 2 days requires at least TWO sheets!
You have doubled your effect on deforestation!!!!
For a company that claims to push greenness in the industry this is very poor indeed.
Smacked bottoms, detention and a letter of complaint to your parents!
That's really a lot of paper. Fortunately I don't require printed bookings.
Recently I was irritated by AirBnB, because they issue an invoice (for the commission) on two A4 pages for each booking . On the second page there is only one printed line, everything would easily fit in one page.. The pdf is not downloadable It's just a print option. At least Booking.com issue a monthly commission invoice. One printed paper per month basicly.
When I am sent multi-page documents, I will copy-and-paste the long text into Microsoft Word.
Then, I delete the non-useful text and graphics on my MS Word page.
Then, I print-out the remaining text onto paper I wish to keep and file.
Such uneccessary waste of time.. all they could do is just optimize a bit.
I'm assuming the theory was making an already abundantly clear form even clearer, aka why use 10 words when 100 will do, aka it ain't broke so let's fix(sic) it.
How about fixing what is broke and leave the stable stuff alone?
Every other agent we deal with uses a format that if you print the first page only you will have all the pertinent information, with less important bloat appearing on subsequent pages that are not needed in printed form.
That makes BDC the worst performer for paper usage in the industry. Then you ask us to be green, sorry BDC, we are way ahead of you.
Let's have a format with the basic booking information on one page, as detailed above or at least drop this silly new format and return to the previous.
No comment from the BDC team.
Come on lads & lasses, lets have an answer to this rather ridiculous source of waste.
Hello fluff! Thank you for your post. As far as I know B.com designer team works on it, so we may see some improvements soon. So I suggest that we should wait for updates.
It seems that they have a function to not include messages, ect.. And it works.
Yup, that's always been there.
The point I was making is that even with deselecting as you say, if your booking is longer than 3 days it won't fit on one page. Particularly annoying if different rates are straddled by the booking...
Oh yes I see that.. should have been an option to fit a booking on one page for sure.
