The guest block the gate and refuse departure

We had a difficult guest some month ago - (we have 6 rental apartments, of which the 2 are in a villa we call Lotus Guest house) Well  - a guest rented one apartment in the villa and blocked the gate to the whole villa for the 5 days she Stayed there, she had no respect for the local staff - she would not let anyone having access to the other apartment in the villa and new tenants had to check in - we had to move the other tenants to another apartment. On the day of departure she would not leave the place until 6 pm - where departure is no later than 11 am
We contacted booking.com locally in Egypt - who tried to call our tenant - with the same result as us ..... she cried out of booking ... and they allowed her to stay at 6pm without our acceptance.
We had to move other rents to another holiday home .... and reduce the price .....

I wonder........ what would you as a landlord do in such a situstion. ??

If police is not assisting or listening, then find someone very strong. And place her outside the unit, with her stuff.

It looks like the woman is mentally not stable.

Things happen.

You need a hot bath and nice music now :)

And hopefully good guests will come your way.

We as hosts can't choose who we get. We can't tell from a picture if someone is 100%

Even during the stay, things can change. Starts ok , but then......(oooh dear! )

Always guard yourself - meaning, be prepared...

Well we hoped bookig.com could help !! - anyway she is now not allowed to book our place anymore and i do hope booking.com will not allow to book any place at all.

I do undestand guest can be mental ill.... and always we try to help - but in this case it was out of our hands.
