Host cancelling

I have one reservation for my house and cannot host. I warned the guest a month ago. They refused to cancel. They are delaying on accepting a (possibly better) alternative. If that is no longer available there is nothing around here for 12 people with a pool over August 15. I have tried, they seem to be playing for compensation. What are my rights? I cannot find the full terms and conditions.

Not sure on your rights but given covid hotels are cancelling all over the place, so seems weird that they won't accept cancel.

You have posted this on the partner forum so we cannot help you do this.  But you should contact booking.com help team and they can do it for you, but may charge a relocation fee.  Use Inbox icon on Extranet or give them a call see link for local phone numbers.

Thank you. I am working with the booking.com team but the guest seems to be playing for an upgrade ot compensation, rather than a similar holiday.

Probably best you get it cancelled if you can.  Sounds like the sort of guest that is also likely to give a bad review just for the sake of it.

The Booking team found the client somewhere else, which was unlikely to be easy. Well done them. I was nervous for the potential liability but it has worked out well.
