How to put a guest booking into credit

We have just had travel restrictions imposed by the local government, and guests due to check in this afternoon have just had to turn around as from tonight they wouldn't be allowed to be away from home. They booked using the non-refundable rate, so date changes aren't possible, so I would like to put the value of their booking into credit - any ideas on how to do that?

So in general regardless of it being Non Refundable Rate, date changes ARE ALWAYS possible, once the future dates are available. What you said is not a thing, never has been.


However having said that there are two approaches you can choose from here.

  1. Message the reservation number to Partner Support and ask them to adjust the date to the new agreed date with Guest.  
  2. Credit for future use within a fixed period. Typcially this is just a verbal agreement to allow them to rebook in future, and set a expiry date. This is maintained by only you locally, and has nothing to do with BdC nor the Extranet. Use a Calendar diary at your check-in desk or on computer . You would simply block those dates once the Guest in future decides when to use the credit for those number of nights

  1. In the extranet, go to the ‘Inbox’ tab.
  2. Select ‘ messages’.
  3. Right Pane - Click on ‘See Contact Options’
  4. Choose Account
  5. Now choose Other
  6. Then at bottom , See all contact options, and click Message or Call
  7. As there is no one number for all partners, the number for your nearest BdC Partner Support is then revealed.
