How do you deal with guests who arrive with a pet? they don't inform you, but you find out while they are still in the accommodation, that they brought one and it's in the accommodation with them. You don't want them to have their pet in your accommodation, it's listed in your rules as a no pet accommodation.
What can the host do to get the guest to remove the pet or otherwise the guests need to leave?

Indeed this can be tricky.
Depending on what type it is it may be possible to accommodate it in another part of the property.
Or simply try to demonstatre to them while reminding them pets are not allowed , some flexibility, that the pet should not be in a bedroom , it could use the backyard, back garden etc.
Too many scenarios and not enough detail from you.
SO if you wan to adopt and enforce a zero tolerance policy, then yes you need to boot them out.
Maybe introduce a deposit or fine for breaking the rules, but deposit would be the easier way, in that if rules breached, no refund on deposit.
