Hi Ollie,

On the extranet its badly named, it is located under Inbox as one of three options.

  • Guest Messages
  • Booking.com Messages   <<<<this one
  • Questions & Answers

Then on right page click on

Can't find what you need? [See contact options]

Completely agree its so convoluted to find it

Hi Barry,

Thank you so much. It worked. I managed to send them message that I will take them to court for providing credit card details which were fraudulent, i.e. unverified and leading to the chargebacks after I provided my apartment to those who stole credit card info. Yet BC takes no responsibility for such situations and even charges you COMMISSION !

But I wonder how did I manage to send them many messages before? It must have changed, didn't it?

And they make it more and more difficult to contact them.

My experiuence is rahter bad with BC. THey are screwing all hosts on GST and cleaning costs by charging commission on these external cost items.

They are screwing us on many other corners too.

Anyway, thanks again for your help.

Ollie

Hi

Its been that way for as long as I have been around.

The only thing I just noticed changes is the wording of the text in that right pane, which was very recent.

There used to be a button with a slightly different wording on it , to click and reveal the phone number and the message button.

Yeah I agree charging on the extras is bad, but its actually not their doing, its for EU based partners due to EU regulations., in order to be complaint.

Kind Regards

Hi Barry,

Thanks for the confirmation that it was DIFFERENT before :)

It must have been more clear if I was able to use it then but not now :/

As for the BC practice, it is their lame excuse that EU dictates such procedures. After all it only benefits them, not so much EU and they are operating in the rest of the World, whcih does not follow EU rules.

If they do business in NZ they MUST follow NZ law, not EU and they have means to do it.

I think the part I didn't word well was when the guests are EU and therefore they have extended rights.

Hi,

I have very few guests from EU.

BC charges commission on GST and cleaning for ALL guests, regardless of their origin.

They even resort to such a low level as charging my cell phone for the calls to their local NZ support center with international rates because they re-route it to other countries call centers.

So you think that you are calling them in your city (which is cost free) but then you get a bill as if you called Philippines.
