Anyone having trouble with charging their Virtual cards?

Hello, Is anyone else having trouble charging their virtual cards??? 

We are unable to charge our activated virtual cards for today and yesterday.

After numerous emails yesterday, asking us to provide details and screenshots we were told to contact our card provider.

We have called them and there is no issue their end.

Our POS provider did mentioned they had had numerous calls from booking.com partners saying the virtual cards are not working so clearly the issue is with booking.com.

When trying to charge our system says 'Needs customer 3DS verification' which is usually a security issue with actual living peoples cards, not a virtual card. 

Obviously after hours of my time, booking.com have apparently escalated the matter...need to wait 48 hrs for response, but likely they won't respond if previous problems are anything to go by. 

Either way they have our money and already have their commission

hmm that does sound odd.

that message would mean the guest card is what is stored not a BdC issued VCC, so that means usually the guest has to provide a extra code due to the new SCA2 requirements.


I would contact the guest first.

Message or Call BdC PartnerSupport 


  1. In the extranet, go to the ‘Inbox’ tab.
  2. Select ‘Booking.com messages’.
  3. Right Pane - Click on ‘See Contact Options’
  4. Choose Account
  5. Now choose Other
  6. Then at bottom , See all contact options, and click Message or Call
  7. As there is no one number for all partners, the number for your nearest BdC Partner Support is then revealed.

There are no guest cards stored...just the virtual cards which has been checked against the extranet and all of them are correct...hence the problem...certainly not a guest problem

The problem lies with booking.com. I have had problems with charging guests VCC since 1st of july. Keep calling them and sending messages but nothing has been fixed yet. I have gotten told the same as you "please wait 48 hours for a response" since 5th of July....

Anyone wonder if life would be much easier if we all just cancelled Booking all together!
