BdC refunds on my behalf and adds currency risk - Illegal?
BdC has refunded a guest on my behalf. We charged the Danish guest was 12,600 South African Rands. Booking.com refunded 15,100 Rands, as the value of the Rand has deteriorated since the booking. We loose R2,500 on top for currency exchange.. Is that legal?
erm that's weird. It depends on what currency they paid in.
check the booking details page to see what the currency is.
We only advertise in ZAR. We received the amount in ZAR. Since the guests booked, the Rand dropped towards most other currencies. BdC has charged us more than what we have received from the guests.
