Booking rate disclosure
Hi everybody, since I am Booking partner I feel that really important data is missing. Maybe I am wrong but I've never found this data. Maybe some of you have a clue on this...
The fact is that for me, and I think in any business, it is basis to have a clear view of income disclosure. I would really appreciate if Bdc would gave information in detail of what is behind the booking payment of a guest.
If a guest pays 200€,
how much of total amount is directly to cover Bdc commission
how much is related to night rate,
how much are extra fees (extra bed, late check in...)
how much are the promotions amount and what for
This data are really relevant. when I have a booking, I know the total amount and the income, but I have no detail and from my point of view this is unacceptable. Any business needs to have a clear picture of it:
1 to control the amount is correctly calculated
2 to analyze what is making you earn money/ or loss it, what is better to change...
I think it is really strange missing this data, so I think maybe I am wrong and this info is available. Any of you knows about it???
Otherwise I am thinking Bdc does not provide this information, not for mistake, but in their own interest somehow..
you could ask the finance team, Nikolas.
I would like the same, and also when doing the accounts, i would like to see all my received bookings in one row, to be easily printed of on one page. commission, gst ..all at once. Would be nice.
Yes, I would contact them and I will write here the answers...
Moreover, it would also be helpfull to understand something has always being dark for me:
Does anybody know how promotions work together: if I créate a secret promotion of 10% and I have a promotion for 3 nights booking of 15%. Does it mean when they book for 3 nights it will be apply a 25% discount??
Are there promotions that apply together, if not, then in the case above, which promotion would apply, 10% or 15%????????
This is really important to know how exactly promotions work if you are going to use them.. And rate disclosure of bookings would help to understand how are your booking rates being applied..
Yes, I WILL contact them and I will write here the answers...
Did you hear anything Nikolas? I am thinking about the10 % and the15% - they will be added together and there will be a 25 % discount unless you change the secret promotion. Now it's getting complicated ;) Looking forward to hearing from B.com too.
Hi Aaltje, I hadn't the time to phone them so I just sent an email. They answer there you can check payment detail in guest booking details, but there only you can see how much commission is Bdc taken you, so I replied and still looking for a good answer.
anyone from the forum team, or leandri?
Hi Aaltje, they finally replied. There IS a difference between web and pulse app, within the web, It is true you can find Booking disclosure by night, este and promotions, there is not all the info but enough. You can find It boy clicking on Grey text inside the selected reservation. Within the app, there was this info too, I ued to check It, but It is not available anymore, why?? How knows..
They told me promotions are cumulative no Matter if they are different kind, genius, secret real orden whatever .. always cumulative, but the best is to check It directly with you reservations
Oh great you got an answer.
Yes, always cumulative, that is what I thought too.
It takes a lot of precise reading.
And with more experience you get more relaxed about it.
But things keep changing, so stay informed :)
Wishing you happy guests and happy hosting with the correct payments
Anymore questions, bring it on Nikolas.
Hi Aaltje, as aster checking some if my bookings I has again doubts regarding cumulative promotions, I asked again the support. Now they gave me COMPLETELY DIFFERENT INFORMATION:: promotions are not cumulative, if more than one promotions applies to a reservation, then only the BEST to the guest applies. Example, you activate secret deal 5% and a more than 2 night promotions of7%. If a guest books through secret deal for 3 nighs, It would apply only 7% discount on the Standard rate. But caution, if you hace genius programa activate with 10% discount and the guest is genius guest, then for BDC your Standard rate os calcularse once genius discount is applies, so in this case would apply 10% if genius + 7% if 3 nights promotion, total 17%
It makes sense not to apply cumulative promotions, otherwise you could hace the case (a quite strange one) of 0€ after a 100% discount
