Booking.com not paying me cleaning fee

I've just realised that Booking haven't been charging guests a cleaning fee (and therefore causing me to lose ££££s). How am I supposed to get this from guests in future without upsetting them? Also, on one reservation, the commission was £25.52, the commissionable amount £170.10, and yet they only paid me £142.37 - am I missing something here?

Hi Oliver,

 

as you have not finished your partner profile we cannot see your listing to determine how the fee is presented.

Please add it. How -To : How & Why Add your Listing to your Partner Community Profile | Booking.com for Partners

 

In general if you have added it under Property >policies > additional Fees > Cleaning  Fee Per Stay it should be on the checkout when they book or prepay at that point .

 

Note: The commission calculated includes the cleaning fee in the total before deduction, then the amount to transfer is that subject to the payment gateway % fee.

 

The reservation statement list will show the breakdown.

 

 

Reminder Partner Support will never see this. Posting account or action requests here will result in nothing.

 

 Message or Call BdC PartnerSupport 

 

  1. In the extranet, go to the ‘Inbox’ tab.
  2. Select ‘Booking.com messages’.
  3. Right Pane - Click on ‘See Contact Options’. 
  4. Choose Account
  5. Now choose Other
  6. Then at bottom , See all contact options, and click Message or Call
  7. As there is no one number for all partners, the number for your nearest BdC Partner Support is then revealed.

Property now added. I have the fee listed, it doesn't get paid to me by Booking.com.

If you have only just added the additional fee for cleaning per stay, then you wont get past booking cleaning fees , naturally.

 

In future bookings it will be added to total but is not exempt from the commission calculation.

Thanks, but I'm still a bit confused with the interface. This is what I'm seeing - I don't know what the difference is between the 'Now' column and the '2021-04-01' column. Does this mean that cleaning fees are definitely being charged to customers?

Ah i see now what it is....

So your country as of April 1st the VAT rate increases from 5 to 20%.

 

Damn thats a hefty increase, we had ours reduced by 2% until 28th feb 2021 , not long enough in my opinion.

Ahh, OK, thanks. Yep, we have a government that unfortunately does not care at all about the tourism industry!
