Cancel reservation as host

If I need cancel reservation as a host, is there any fees? With ongoing reservation or at check in date.

Hi

 

That entirely depends on :

  1. its more than 48 hours to the arrival /check -in date
     
  2. You deal directly with the guest.
     
  3. If guest contacts BdC CS before you sort it out, they get relocated and you get a n invoice from BdC
     
  4. You always have the option of finding them an alternative place to stay. Just dont pick something that is night/day different to yours.

     

Cancelling the reservation yourself.

  1. Message the guest , explain overbooked, system shouldnt have allowed it or COVID19 local restrictions prevent you from hosting. etc
     
  2. Be smart about which excuse you use, and dont over do it, no waffle or padding.
     
  3. When you message the guest finish off by saying , once you initiate the cancelation they will receive notification to acknowledge via a confirm link in the message. And that their prepayment (if any) will then be auto prcoessed for full refund by Booking.com, only once they take that action.
     
  4. Of course if you can offer some detail on next availability, if any. and offer to confirm dates they may send on.
