COMMISSIONABLE AMOUNT

Good day. I would like to ask if why the total amount of the reservation is different from the commissionable amount? The total amount of the reservation inclusive of service charge less the commission is equals to the NET on invoice. So what does commissionable amount for?

I hope you get my point. Thank you so much

Hi

I believe the commission is applied to the entire amount then a % for the payment gateway if using BdC for prepayments.

Alternatively give the support team call.

Kind Regards

Hi Island Inn! Thanks for posting in the Community!

The Commissionable amount is the amount on which we apply our commission. It is not always different from the total reservation price. The Commissionable amount does not include taxes (VAT, city tax etc), as we do not charge commission on taxes. So that is why we always state this amount separately.

If you do not have any taxes set up, then commissionable amount will be equal to the total reservation cost.

Best regards!

Booking.com does charge commission over taxes!

Our contract from 2019, point 2.3.2.:

(ii) the Room Price per room per night including Taxes and such other extras and surcharges...

So we pay VAT over commission that has been charged over VAT and other taxes.
