I have had some guests in my accommodation and they left and I found breakages. Can I get damage deposit if this was not collected on their check-in?
Can booking.com deduct this amount from their card?
It is up to you to either take a damage deposit at check in and then refund it after inspecting the room at check out.
Just inspect the room before the guest leaves the premises and charge for any damages.
We do the latter, it's not a perfect system as we have had a couple of sneak-outs (to avoid paying) and have had to get a bit "heavy" on occasion as well but it's better than bearing all the costs, all of the time.
