Hi to everyone, we just getting and getting messages from Booking.com that we should give tons of discount. Just wanted to see if my math is correct!! We are in Costa Rica so taxes depend on the country

There is the amount what pays the traveler. Let’s say he pays 100$=100% from that booking takes minimum        18$= 18%    Than to wire the money to the account   3$=   3%    At the end of the month you pay VAT   13$= 13% at the end of the year again sale tax  30%= 30%. 

So what we really gain from each 100$ is 36$. Than Booking ask us to rank higher we need to pay a min. of 10% extra. So we end up with 26$ at the end. From there we have to pay our staff, Municipality taxes, water, electricity, internet, reparations and materials, cleaning materials and more. Does this makes sense??
