I have a number of properties with booking.com the last one I cannot receive payments from booking.com due to a glitch in their system.  I have called at least 8 to 10 times to try and sort it out and each time get a different answer.  I finally got told by someone that there is a glitch in the system and I will not be able to receive payments from booking.com until this is sorted on their side.  Meanwhile I have guests that are booking without credit card details and then simply not arriving, I then loose on the actual booking for that period as well as I have no recourse to get any sort of payment from the guest as well as booking.com has made me pay commissions on these bookings!!!!  I am at a point where I want to remove myself from the booking.com platform due to the frustration.  I simply want booking.com to not allow guest to be able to book without taking a deposit, I don't mind if they have to pay when they get to my establishment, I just do not want to have no income because they dont pitch as well as no recourse.

I'm so sorry to hear there's a delay in your payments! 

 

I'd like to share some information on the no show and commission related topic hoping that it might be helpful:

 

We charge commission on confirmed stays, regardless of whether the guest stayed at your property or not.

You also pay commission when:

  • You charge guests for non-refundable or partially refundable no-shows or cancellations
  • You charge guests who cancel after the free cancellation period has ended

You don’t have to pay commission when:

Additionally, maybe the Smart Flex reservations programme information might be interesting to attract new guests incase you find it useful.
