How to get paid?!?

Hi There!


I'm a long time VRBO and AirBNB user - trying to add booking.com to my list of places to find VR guests - but I am struggling with the payment paradigm here.


First of all - I have a house in Costa Rica and also one in the US, which I rent.


I got my first booking for the Costa Rica house (yay!), but I don't know how to get paid :(  I am used to VRBO or AirBNB transferring by ACH or Wire to my bank, and when I contacted BdC, they said there's no bank transfer option "in your region."  When I go to the actual booking on BdC, the CC info shows a message that says "you're not allowed to see the CC information"


How to other VR owners (not hotels or other larger outfits) get paid here?


Unfortunately, if I can't figure something "easy" out here, I think I will need to cancel this booking and close the listings - which is a shame, because I spent a good deal of energy setting them up!


Thanks in advance for your advice - Booking.com help site feels like total garbage on this topic, is unclear and unhelpful :(

  • defaults to you collect from guest, so that means,
  • have at it with anything you want to use as prepayment,
  • but define it int othe message template - NEW RESERVATION
  • set a time limit also so when messers and potential no shows fail to prepay, you ca nclick Request Cancel then option 1.
  • call partner support to then expedite.

Thank you @BrookAve!  To make sure I got i right - when I get a booking here, I message the guest (or setup a template + rule to do it) saying something like "thanks for your booking - to confirm it, please send the *total amount* to me via paypal at XXX@YYY.com, or by Venmo at @MyName, within 7 days."


And if I don't get paid, then I contact support as you described and ask for a cancellation for non-payment?


How long to you generally give guests to pay?
