Invoice payment

I paid my invoice (5 days ago) and it is still showing “unpaid” on my account. I am new to booking.com. This was my first invoice. I see that you can now pay online, instead of a bank transfer. I prefer this method. Because my first payment is still out there, what happens if the invoice is paid twice? Will it be credited toward next month’s invoice?
