Minimum Stay & payment issues

I have a minimum stay of two nights on my property, but people are being allowed to book for one night and I have to keep declining the booking.

I have a booking for next weekend, and the guest messaged me to confirm the booking but says they will pay on arrival.  I don't want to work like this.  The payment must be done through booking.com so that I know they will pay and that there is nothing strange on the go.

Can you please assist.

Hi Joy,

 

By default unless you signed up for Payments by Boking or BdC Online Payments (VCC issued ), you will always have to take payment directly from guest.

 

 

As you have not been clear as to which payment method if any, is setup please confirm.

 

As 2 nights is well with in the rate plan settings, ensure you set it as so and or override it in the calendar -list view , expand the rate plans under  each room type and look for the minimum length of stay row, and check the value for that rate plan is 2 or more

 

If not use the bulk edit to update it. but better to also set that rate plan to min 2 nights also for auto price on future dates.

 

Going by your profile age, I am assuming you are new and do not have any payment service setup nor signed up for, so if that is the case you have no choice but to take payment directly form guest.

 

  • message to ask for prepayment to you IBAN
  • or send a payment link from a 3rd party system. etc

  1. In the extranet, go to the ‘Inbox’ tab.
  2. Select ‘Booking.com messages’.
  3. Right Pane - Click on ‘See Contact Options’
  4. Choose Account
  5. Now choose Other
  6. Then at bottom , See all contact options, and click Message or Call
  7. As there is no one number for all partners, the number for your nearest BdC Partner Support is then revealed.
