No Shows

HOW DO OTHER PROPERTYS DEAL WITH NO SHOW RESERVATIONS. IT SEEMS IT ALWAYS IS MORE WORK ON THE BACK END WITH DISPUTES AND AGRAVATED GUESTS. I WOULD LIKE TO HEAR HOW OTHERS DEAL WITH THESE TYPES OF RESERVATIONS.

I only had No shows when I was collecting cash from guests.  Once I switched to 'Payments by booking.com' I didn't get any more because booking.com are collecting the guests credit card details and money.  So a no show would still be charged.  There is a small extra fee to pay but I consider it is worth it, as more than covered what I lost in No shows.  Alternatively you could look at setting yourself up to take credit card details and payments and it depends on size of business and local costs for that whether it is worth it for you.

If you want to switch to Payment by booking.com have a search on Help and read up on details and contact help team.

Hello,

If you want to keep collecting the payment on arrival by yourself, you can also make a small "pre-charge" to the guest credit card one day after the reservation (1€)

To make sure it works

A good option is to have a pretty convenient Non Refundable option. It will reduce a lot cancelations and no-shows

Agree with Sharon, after switching to "Payments bu Booking" I haven't got any further issue.
