Don't do that. There is a solution. Allow Booking.com to collect and pay over your money. It is worth the small fee and the set up time. I explain in a separate message below.

OK, so when this happened to me, this is what I did. I changed so that I can receive money to my bank from Booking.com, they then collect and hand it over. This is instead of these virtual credit cards because there is nothing you can do with virtual credit cards in countries where the bank or credit card system needs a physical card, such as Poland, where I am and I think a lot of countries will be the same.

When I did this and I also made a comment to customer service in the place where you query commissions in the finance part, the virtual card disappeared and the money was indeed paid onto my bank account.  I wouldn't wait around though, as I am not sure if there isn't some time limitation on those virtual cards.

So all these last 3 bookings i can get my money from booking? Because this option you say don’t come up anywhere! So quite unsure how to not loose money from these 3 bookings

Hello, I don;t know if it will work, it depends on the country and the banks probably.

There is a system that is called ecommerce.

If you have it in your country, you can activate it.

This will give you full access to your bank account and allow you to do charges on cards as well, through the safe environment of your bank.

Contact your bank and ask for this. It will save you, if it is available.

My advice is not to activate payments through booking.com , as i read from many of partners they do not take their money, at least not soon enough.

Hope it have helped a lttle and good luck

Hi Ismini, I found activating payments through Booking.com to be an improvement, a definite improvement, but it still isn't a cure-all. The problem I think I have is that the genius programme allows these genius customers, (many of whom seem to have a definition of genius which is new to me as the level of IQ most of them display is not far from the average, and the variance is not always, if I can be polite about it, on the plus side) are able to override my non-refundable rates. They get a better rate than the n on-refundable rate and they get to use this smart flex.  If they then don't show, if the credit card details they gave a re no good, then Booking are supposed to grab their money or pay me, but what happens sometimes is the system simply reverts to having 0 income, 0 commission.  This hasn't been too common and I can live with it, because on the other hand I also occasionally still make money without even having to receive a guest and clean a room because they cancel.

On cancellations if someone is nice about it, does it well ahead of time and communicates some form of explanation or apology, I am happy to waive the fee.  If they just demand it despite what they signed up for, like one Georgian guy did to me, or keep silent, then I keep the money, and pay the commission on it of course, because that's the deal. That's why they had the chance for a 20% cheaper room (you can set a lower differential, I choose 20%)

In the extranet, look under finance on the top ribbon and then on the dropdown "finance settings". If it's not there when you open it maybe it isn't available where you live, but that's where you look. HTH.

Think not available plus I want money from old bookings made the last week not future bookings

OK, then I am afraid it looks like what worked to a degree for me may not be helpful in your case.
