Payments by Booking.com
New fees/charges.
Am very happy using 'Payments by booking.com' and waited 3 months for it to kick in...which was very hard as we lost a lot of bookings using 'cash only' to be eligible to be able to go onto 'payments by booking.com'.
When the teething was all over and it started it was great, it is great ...now we received an email telling us that we will be charged between 1% to 2.5% for using 'payments by booking.com'.
without any warning.
We are not happy. On top of the commission we already pay we are now going to be slugged yet another fee. Not happy Jan
This doesn't sound good at all sorry - I appreciate the information as to stay with 50% deposit upon guests booking - when they transfer the money to my account - and balance in cash on arrival. This works perfectly well for me.

Increase your fees ......
You can also take bookings on AirBnB, TripAdvisor and other OTAs, which have lower fees .... just set different rates on them so you get the same payout regardless of where the bookings come from ....
