Reservation cancellation

Hi fellow partners, I would like to ask how's the payment system work in Booking.com. Here is my question, the payment for the cancellation reservation will transfer to the host or guest?

Let's say the guest have paid for the apartment through credit/debit card, then he/she cancelled the reservation on the same day.

If the payment has been taken, either by BDC or by you it then depends on your cancellation policy that you have set. (watch out for the default settings as they are always in the guest's favour).


Customer can cancel free in first 24 hours of booking (if not last minute booking).


Customer can cancel free up to 30 days before arrival date.


All bookings and payments are final, no refunds will be given.
