I was shown the amount that a customer paid by the customer without the taxes added and Booking.com's commission. The person argued that it was the price he expected to pay so now i am out of pocket .why is this shown to the customer .Basically i let him off booking.coms commission etc.So as to not cause an up-set.

What the customer is charged by BdC is between him and BdC, you do not need to get involved, simply direct him to BdC website and he can contact Customer Service for Guests.
Its none of his business what you and BdC charge each other for the service.
That will always be the number one golden rule to follow. Let BdC sort him out, less stress for you , you dont need.
If he is just being thick and doesnt understand , the breakdown shown at time of both searching and checkout, then more fool him, as he agreed to it when he checked out.
The price and breakdown are shown by hovering over the search result price for the rooms listed, typically will show: Rate minus vax, Additional Fees, (cleaning etc) City Tax - if any Other Taxes - if any VAT so the total he pays at checkout is exactly that.

I did a simple test search and here is an example of the rate and breakdown.
I can see the listed price shown to guest is correct and the breakdown. So I dont understand why he was complaining as he actually has nothing legit to moan about. And sounds to me he is just being a Pratt on purpose.
