Very high rate of no -shows
We are getting a lot of bookings these days but after removing the cancelled bookings , the no. Of no show percentage is as high as 50%. Since we are not taking credit card details from our Domestic guests to promote more no. Of bookings , the guests are making random bookings but not showing up. We end up waiving off the retention charges as we don’t have the CC details to charge them. Please advise what should we do ???
Then take credit card details for domestic guests?
Maybe you should change your cancellation policy...
Fewer reservations but more safe.

See if you can do 'Payments by booking.com' where booking.com do all the processing for you. small additional percentage charge but stopped my no shows.
I agree that chasing more reservations isn't always the best thing. Better to have good guests that show up.
