answering with the guest.

is it possible that the button no answer the open reminder deleted? if I do nothing the message is marked as open. but really it isn't open. please let me know

Hi there,

I've had the same issue in the past. Normally I will send a message directly after the open message just to get it marked as Read. 

It's also a good idea to send feedback to the Booking.com dev (Bottom right corner of the page when you are logged in and on the inbox), so that they can take a look. The more feedback they receive, the better they can help.
