cancellation
If the guests cancel the reservation a few days before the check in and they are entitled a refund, will booking.com compensate me somehow for not being able to have time to find anyone else to book on those days? Many thanks

However their is a program called - Ask for a replacement guest | Booking.com for Partners

sometimes I see a lot of extremely lazy partners on here (I have a pet peeve of zero tolerance for it) , who have not even read the basics, and post wanting it all done for them, and assume BdC Parnter support , finance and senior management are looking at these posts , when they are not.

example a flexible 1 day booking gets cancelled, if the system tags it as 'Find A Replacement Guest' or similar wording....
It then will attempt to find another searching , if they cant they will pay you that rate for those nights booked by the original guest.
I had it myself, but at the time it was only some bookings it applied to and was on my default no-refund rate plan. so basically it upgraded the non refundable bookings to refundable to boost the flexibility
