Cancellation progress

A long time ago Marco de Jong had made a reservation with me. He wanted to cancel this too late. 
He has discussed this with booking.com, I have indicated that he can move it but without cancellation conditions. Can you indicate how this was processed? Has his booking been deposited with me yet? So that I can make a new booking with him
