Cancelling last minute

I have Omicron and am attempting to cancel a guest due in 48 hours.  They are happy for me to cancel their booking but are told they are being charged one nights cancellation fee which is not right in these circumstances.  How do I ensure it is cancelled and that the guest doesn't get charged anything??

You will be able to waive these cancellation fees in the extranet or if you need further assistance contact your local Customer Service team who will be able to help you. You can find their phone number in the extranet under Inbox>Booking.com Messages>Contact Us
