choice for same day booking alert in FAT PRINT

Could one of the website designers add an alert when choosing same day booking or not, in FAT PRINT please. # Partner Community 


Recently I had someone one my doorstep to stay. Luckily I was home and we organized the beds according to their wishes.


But I never take same day bookings....

So checked my status..

There is a very tiny little square that apparently became unticked, within policies / agenda /

But so easy to do (make the tick disappear) and very hard to see (extremely tiny print), especially if never used before.    Had to tick it again.


Same day bookings can be very stressful, especially when busy. (Need time to clean and iron etc)


Could there be made a shortcut, fat print or another creative and clear way to tell the hosts when they have same day bookings as a default setting, please. 


Any fellow partner agreeing?

That would be very helpful.

Hope you and yours are doing well.


Could you maybe elaborate a bit more on where this is and exact name, as I'm struggling to find anything like that under : Extranet > Property >Policies >  I was of the impression the Max Advanced Reservation field , under each Room Type in the Calendar then each rate or promo ,is where to prevent it.


Max Advanced Reservation - Guests can only check-in this date if they book at least X days in advance


Or am I forgetting something?


I know under promos you can define a Last Minute deal which I think I saw shirley or another say can override the calendar restrictions with its own config.


Bookable period

How far in advance do customers need to book this promotion?

  • __ days or fewer before check-in
  •  __hours or fewer before check-in

Do you want to limit this promotion to certain hours?

Hi Ella,

I agree with you that same day bookings are very stressful...It’s the reason why I have a 1 day notice in my my Calendar 


I agree with Barry...but maybe you are referring to something else???


Thanks to you Ella, I checked my Calendar and noticed that in my no-refundable rates the min. advance notice was saved me from future troubles...

Hi Maria, 


When you say N.R rate plan in calendar missing Min. Adv Reservation, do you mean nothing set or the field row is not visible? I'm guessing its the first one.

Yes Barry,

I mean the was my fault...I had forgotten to set up restriction...


Searching to see what Ella was referring to...I realized that I had forgotten to update this restriction in my no-refundable rate plan...


That’s why I have said many times in my comments that helping others I mainly help myself!!!!

Hi Barry and Maria, 


Sorry naming was wrong, it was supposed to be : Rates  department / the calendar.

Beside the dates within Calendar there is a square that you can tick to view your restrictions. 

But as soon as you log out, it disappears..

So the function is viewing only. 


What I would like to see is a fat print 

message to tell the hosts (whoever handles the bookings) to easily see if same day booking is allowed  or is restricted

What deal overwrites this , Barry?

ah ok, yes the Tick Boxes are only for your viewing to condense or expand on the view by design, at the time of viewing.


I believe it was Shirley (BdC Community Team) who said creating a promo will have its own restrictions that are not impacted by others or the rateplan restrictions on calendar directly.

But there was no promo used at the time of booking...

So really don't understand this error happening (booking on the same day) 


The lady who made the booking made a last minute booking. I saw it on 3.30 pm  and guest arrived at 4.00 pm


Luckily I was home.


But what if I wasn't home...


Better shoot away cleaning now, cause there could be another guest this afternoon.....Oh dear!
