Creating a video for your holiday let on Booking.com

Hello

is it possible to set up a video of your holiday let so potential guests can get a better idea of what your property look like? I can’t seem to find this facility and especially in this digital age it would be a great tool.

Please advise.

Hi Susan,

No as far as I know only 360 photos are available!!! and you can find it at the bottom of your photos page...

Maybe we should  send a message request to BDC so they will give it a second thought to include it in our listings...

Hi Susan,

  • For now you can simply record with your smart phone,
  • then create a youtube account
  • Upload and mark it was unlisted, this makes it only available to those with the link.
  • Copy the short link for sharing
  • Open the Fine Print, and try add it there as

    Walkthrough: Youtube - LINK

    I dont know if they filter urls in Fine print.

    You could also add it to the top / first line of your Auto Message Template for New Reservations.

  • WhatsApp - I usually add their number to my phone to see if they are on WhatsApp.
    This gives direct way to send door codes etc and option to send a walkthrough video.

  • Also use the new FaQ to ask the question:

    Does your property have a YouTube Walkthrough?
    Now answer you own question and provide the link.

    again not sure if urls are filtered but its one way to find out.

Hi Susan.This question has been raised a few times in the past but not many  answers .Personally I think it would be Brilliant.  When my guests ask for a Video........................

I ask if they are on Whatsapp and then send a complete Video of the Apartment and surrounding area.EASY as!!!....I have sent Maria many Whatsapp Videos of the Pinnacle and Surfers Paradise and it works so so well. Good Luck its a Fabulous idea.We have to be different and show our beautiful properties as much as possible to get Guests interested and excited.

Oh Michael, your videos of the pinnacle are more than amazing!!!

Of course the pinnacle itself is a fabulous place to be for holidays....

Excellent is not enough...
