Difference between who book and who really stay
Hi!
Yesterday, I received a reservation (from TODAY until 18th January) from a Booking.com user(Genius) who booked for other two different people. So I received the reservation from her profile as for 2 people and she won't stay at my apartment. Only her two friends will stay there.
So, according to Italian Law for every stay I ask the signature of a Tenancy agreement for touristic purpose and this is obviously connected with “Booking.com Trip Terms and Conditions” and I write in it the Booking.com reservation number.
In this case, what can I do?
Technically this two guys aren't Booking.com users.
Only the person who sent the reservation is a Booking.com user.
So, my concern is about eventual damages to my apartment.
In this situation, can I write the contract as for "normal" Booking.com reservation (where the person who sent it is also the guest or one of the guests) about two not Booking.com users in order to have, just in case, the possibility to ask Booking.com assistance?
Please let me know as soon as you can.
Thank you very much.
Kind regards
Maria Grazia Accorsi
There are many users that make bookings for others (their friends, family) or they can be travel agents.. One of the reason is because of discounts such as Genius perks.
I guess the signature of the agreement must be provided from the person that stays at your place.
Dear Maria,
I had same situation in the summer without even informing me.
Eventually I had no issues but the guests that stayed could not leave a review....only the person that makes the reservation can leave a review...so just have that in mind....
Wish you well...
