double booking due to syncing problem
Hello there,
I am the owner of a single property and I have the property on various platforms. For an unknown reason, I had a syncing failure (my property was already booked on another platform) and now I have a double booking. I got a response from online help and they canceled the problem reservation, but then immediately rebooked it. So the problem continues. I cannot contact them by phone and they don't answer my online request. All the material I read on the website states that I am responsible for rebooking the people and that I will have to pay. This is so outrageous that all I want to do is delete my property from the website. But it seems there is no way to do that either. How does one get customer service from this company?
this has been an ongoing issue for years - you will need to manually block dates to try and prevent it - but if you're not quick, you can still get double bookings
always hassle BDC over it - and keep hassling them - in time, they might just fix the problem - and it should be quite a simple fix - they will keep telling you no problem, or sync is a manual task (which would defeat the purpose of calendar syncs) - just keep hassling them, even when you know you are banging your head on a brick wall
some people recommend using a channel manager - i have no evidence that channel managers actually work better than ical sync - the bottom line is they both use the same data which booking.com does not reliably store and does not reliably share and does not reliably process
thank you for your reply, much appreciated! They still have not replied, they are just ignoring me completely. Leaving the platform as it was not a major source of bookings for me anyway. I have on the other hand, used them many times to book overnight stays while traveling. Definitely not using them anymore.

at the end of the day never try to ical sync unless you use a Channel manager service - 3rd party,
e.g. cloudbeds; syncbnb; beds24 etc...
